SAFETY GUIDELINES

Our strength is in our unity, joy, and peace.

Protests can sometimes draw agitators — from drive-by hecklers to organized counter-protesters — so please stay aware of your surroundings and notice early signs of escalation. The best response is to not engage.

If you notice a conflict:

     • Stay calm and composed.

     • Alert the marshals (yellow vests) at the first signs of trouble.

     • Do not engage with those involved.

     • Step back and encourage others to move away.

     • Let the marshals handle it.

About counter-protesters:

Never engage with aggression, even if provoked, and resist the temptation to gesture, argue, or curse. Be cautious even with calm conversation, as some agitators seek to record reactions to post online. Don’t take the bait.

Why this matters:

     • If we lose peace, we lose momentum—and possibly our permit.

     • The City of Beverly allows us to police ourselves if marshals can maintain order.

     • Following marshal instructions keeps us all safe and protects our right to gather.

Our commitment:

We hold each other accountable to keep our movement peaceful, joyful, and strong.

Thank you for helping us stay on the right track.
